Photography has long been a hobby for me, but was mostly relegated to documenting moments in life. About 8 years back I delved into my first dSLR and found myself gravitating towards mostly wildlife photography, which I still very much enjoy.

But over the past few years I have taken it upon myself to broaden my horizons and with the help of friends as models I have discovered I very much enjoy photographing a model. I suppose, in some manner, it is because it is the exact opposite of wildlife photography. With wildlife it's about picking a spot and waiting for your subject, then spray and pray. With a model I get to control most everything if I wish. Pose, lighting, location, etc.

I like to think I'm a pretty good photographer from a technical standpoint, but I want to be better. And to do more. I have no preconceived ideas of what sort of model I wish to photograph. I'm open to ideas and suggestions. I will say that I with my few experiences thus far I typically like to start with a specific idea and then let it morph organically as I discover what works and what doesn't.

Like many I have seen while browsing MM, I'm pretty new to working with a model, but comfortable, capable and confident with my camera and equipment.
